Promoting Agriculture through Exhibits

Agriculture is no doubt the most important industry in the world. It is the major producer of raw materials for food, clothing and so many human needs. Hence, is it not odd when given its value to economy and society, many young people these days are showing a lack of interest in the trade?

Our farmers, agriculturists and so many other skilled people working in the agriculture industry are growing old, and they need young heirs to take their positions. It is thus necessary to promote agricultural careers to younger generations. But how is this possible when even agriculture books are gathering dust in the library?

There are several ways to promote agriculture. One of the proven and tested ways to solicit interest is to hold school exhibits about agriculture and invite students to visit farms. Doing so will teach students to appreciate the work of growing plants and rearing animals, as well as instil in their young minds the value of agriculture.
